Q: Where are you located?
A: We live on a small family-run farmstead about thirty minutes outside of Columbia, SC.
Q: What dog breeds do you raise?
A: Only Cockapoos. However, on our little farmstead we also have cats and chickens!
Q: How many dogs do you have? And how many puppies do you have each year?
A: As of January 2024, we have fourteen dogs who are part of our breeding program. The number of puppies we may have in each year varies, depending on which of our mama dogs have a litter, and how many pups are in each litter.
Q: Where are your puppies born and raised?
A: Our puppies are born and raised in our homes. Often the delivery is in our bedroom, but it does depend where the mama dog is most comfortable. The puppies grow up in our main home living areas, watching and participating in daily life.
Q: Can we come see your dogs and/or puppies?
A: By appointment only. We are happy to schedule a visit for anyone who has applied and been approved to join our waiting list. Please do not stop by, or visit without an appointment. We will not place puppies in any home that has not already been approved through the application process.
Please understand that young puppies are very sensitive, especially to contagious diseases like parvovirus. We always want to keep our dogs and puppies as safe as possible.
Q: What do you feed your dogs and puppies?
A: Our dogs are fed a nutritional dry dog food that we purchase from Costco – Kirkland brand. This can also be purchased online through Amazon. The puppies are provided the puppy food formula from about 4-5 weeks old (softened with water at first) until they’re a year old, when we transfer them gradually to an adult formula. We also give our dogs and puppies (starting at 6-7 weeks of age) a nutritional supplement called NuVet Plus.
Q: Why do you give your dogs and puppies NuVet supplements?
A: NuVet helps to boost the immune system of dogs and puppies. It’s full of herbs, vitamins, and minerals to help keep them in the best of health. We believe giving them this supplement helps reduce the risk of many potential health issues. When our families choose to continue providing NuVet Plus to their puppy, we extend our usual health guarantee from one year to three years.
